Test Prep
FAST
The Florida’s standardized assessments, measures Reading, Writing, and Mathematics standards aligned with the Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking (B.E.S.T.). The FAST includes VPK through grade 10 Reading and VPK through grade 8 Mathematics assessments. They are administered as a progress monitoring assessment, three times per year.
The Florida Standards Assessments, which measure student success with the Florida Standards, include assessments in English Language Arts (grades 3-10), Mathematics (grades 3-8), and End-of-Course (EOC) assessments for Algebra 1 and Geometry.
ACT
The ACT is a multiple-choice, college entrance exam that measures a student’s knowledge of high school material. It is typically taken during junior year of high school. English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science are included in every ACT test.
SAT
The SAT is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. Math, Evidence-Based Reading, and Writing are included in the test. It is typically taken during spring of junior year.
