Meet Our Administration

Annie Williams

Owner

Annie was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended and graduated Florida State University with a bachelor's and a master's degree in Psychology. Annie discovered that there is a great need for specialized tutoring in the Tallahassee area and opened Tutors for Tally in May of 2017. With her unique skill set and knowledge in multiple learning styles, she has been able to successfully help numerous students. Annie makes it a priority to ensure that each family that attends Tutors for Tally receives the highest quality of services. When Annie isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her family and studying the Bible, and traveling. 

Kimberly Thigpen 

Director

Kimberly earned her bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of Florida, graduating in 2014. Some of her past positions include being an Administrative Assistant and teaching ESE Pre-K. Kimberly served as the Assistant Director at TFT for a year and a half before being promoted to Director. As the Director, she makes it a priority to build a relationship with each family that receives services at TFT. Kimberly serves as an advocate for students and has helped to bridge the communication gap between teachers, parents, and other service providers to ensure the success of all students. When Kimberly is not working, she enjoys playing guitar, painting, and spending time outdoors with her family. 

Maricela Albers 

Senior Administrative Assistant   

Maricela Albers has been with Tutors for Tally since the day it opened. She has over 8 years of experience as an administrative assistant and loves to meet and make meaningful connections with every family that walks into Tutors for Tally. Mrs. Albers loves her job and is very successful at ensuring that the administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner to ensure company success. You will always find her with a smile on her face. 

Meet Our Tutors

Ms. Pearson

Reading Specialist  

Ms. Pearson was born in Tallahassee, FL. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Exceptional Student Education and a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida. Ms. Pearson has been teaching for 6 years. She has 2 adorable pugs named Evie and Sushi. Ms. Pearson loves to teach students and help them be the best version of themselves. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, movies, and drinking an amazing cup of coffee. 

Ms. James

Ms. James received her Master of Science Degree from Western Michigan University and her Bachelor of Science Degree from FAMU. She has taught mathematics to middle and high school students for over 35 years. Ms. James loves helping students learn and understand the world of mathematics. During her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and attending FAMU events. 

Mrs. Justice 

Mrs. Justice was raised in Tallahassee, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Flagler College. She has taught multiple grade levels and really enjoys the tutoring environment where she can work 1 on 1 with students. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her son and her dog Gretel. 

Mrs. Groover 

Mrs. Groover was born and raised in Georgia. She received her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, and her master's degree in Learning and Behavior Disorders from the University of Louisville. She earned her National Board Certification as an early childhood through young adulthood exceptional needs specialist while teaching in Tallahassee at Kate Sullivan Elementary. She taught students from Kindergarten to SAT prep classes and taught several different exceptionalities in Florida and Indiana. She is a Master Gardener, loves to to be in the garden, and is a prolific reader. 

Ms. Olayiwola 

Ms. Olayiwola was born in Nigeria and moved to Tallahassee in 2000. She attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University for all her collegiate studies. She received her bachelor's degree in Accounting, master's in Healthcare Administration, and doctoral degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has seven years of experience tutoring adults in Mathematics at Tallahassee Community College. In her free time, Ms. Olayiwola enjoys exercising, traveling, and listening to music. 

Mrs. Weaver 

Mrs. Weaver has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English and has held a Florida teaching certificate since 1988. She taught in Leon County public schools overseas. She has taught elementary grades in mission schools in Honduras, Guatemala, and Papua New Guinea. After 30 years of living abroad, she and her husband are happy to now be settled in Tallahassee. In her free time, Mrs. Weaver enjoys writing, swimming, canoeing, gardening, and visiting parks. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with students through Tutors for Tally. 

Mrs. Caito

Mrs. Caito was raised in Tallahassee, Florida and recently graduated from Florida State University. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Anthropology. She has over ten years of experience working with children and has taught multiple grade levels, mainly preschool through middle school. Mrs. Caito has a passion for connecting with students and inspiring a love of learning and storytelling. She loves her pets and enjoys reading, writing, creating art, and going on walks with friends.

Ms. Bonilla 

Ms. Bonilla is from Jacksonville, Florida but has lived in various places, such as Wisconsin and Alabama. She currently attends Florida State University. Ms. Bonilla loves helping students achieve their goals and find confidence in themselves. She teaches all grade levels and subjects and prepares students for entrance exams such as the SAT and ACT. In her free time, she loves doing the crossword, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Ephraim

Mrs. Ephraim was born in Northwest Florida and moved to Tallahassee in 2013. She received both her Bachelor of Exercise Science & Master of Public Health degrees from Florida State University. She has taught & tutored in church, homeschool, and other settings. She loves helping students grow both in their subject mastery and confidence. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exploring nature, and trying new recipes & cuisines. 



Ms. Neshat

Ms. Neshat is from Tallahassee, Florida.  She is currently attending Florida State University where she is studying chemistry with a specialty in physics. As a tutor, she likes to get to know her students and adapt to their unique learning style. Ms. Neshat tutors students from 3rd grade to college in math, chemistry, and physics. In her free time Ms. Neshat likes to cook, go to the beach, and do puzzles.  

Mr. Pinardo 

Mr. Pinardo is from Pensacola, Fl. He is currently attending Florida State University where he is studying Mechanical Engineering and is a part of the Society of Automotive Engineers. As a tutor, he likes to emphasize the importance of repetition and practice outside of tutoring sessions and school. Mr. Pinardo tutors students in math starting in 1st grade. He specializes in math from Algebra 1 to Calculus 1. In his free time, Mr. Pinardo likes to watch sports, surf, and fish.

Ms. Amparo 

Ms. Amparo was raised in Northern Virginia and moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education and is currently completing her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at FSU. Ms. Amparo has 7 years of experience working with students of all ages. While at FSU, she taught college preparation courses through the University Honors Program and student teaches at schools in Leon County. Ms. Amparo enjoys teaching various subject areas across grade levels, and her passion is to empower and support all students in their academic journey. In her free time, she loves exploring new places and traveling with her family and pets.
